Citroen is expanding the drive variants of the C5 Aircross. In the future, the SUV will be available with a renewed plug-in hybrid with more power and range thanks to a larger battery.

Citroen now also offers the C5 Aircross as a plug-in hybrid with 195 hp system output. The new drive variant not only shines with more power, but also with more range thanks to a larger battery compared to its predecessor.

More power and more range

The French carmaker has given the new C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) a significant technical update. Instead of the previous 110 hp electric motor, there is now one with 125 hp and thus a system output of 195 hp. The 5.4 kWh larger battery (17.8 kWh) ensures that despite the increase in performance, there is also an increase in range on board. In purely electric mode, the Citroen C5 Aircross PHEV can now travel up to 86 km according to WLTP.

This means that there are now three variants of the C5 Aircross to choose from: full hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric car. The plug-in hybrid comes with the 19-inch rims in the "Moondust" design known from the electric C5 Aircross 210 comfort range as standard, and 20-inch rims in the "Obsidien Black" design can also be ordered for an extra charge. The new C5 Aircross PHEV 195 is offered in the PLUS and MAX trim levels with list prices of €38,990 and €42,990 respectively.
